Being stuck and self-sabatoge has been a common report as of late from folks I work with. Stuck at work, stuck in life, stuck in not knowing what’s next, just plain stuck.

Being stuck doesn’t feel so hot. Nor does the self-sabotage game. So here are two things you can do right now to get out of the quicksand.

Before I knew what personal development was, I was reading and working on myself. I was always looking for ways to be better. I immersed myself in leadership books from Steven Covey to Scott Peck’s The Road Less Traveled.

I was not totally happy and these books offered something in the way of self-improvement. They offered to solve my unhappiness problem.

Years later I would attend a Buddhist inspired graduate school to deeply study myself and to study psychology so as to be more effective in working with others. The Power of Celebration–Share The Top 10 Things You Are Celebrating

picture-1 June 21 marked our half-way point in the 108-day Personal Revolution training. It was a big milestone as the men had spent time in solitude and self-reflection. It was also the Solstice, the longest day of the year and in many traditions a time to honor and celebrate the sun and abundance of life.  Yet another reason to celebrate my life!

The Purpose & Benefit of Solitude: How to Honor Your Desire to Be Alone.

picture-7Ever since I was a little kid, I would escape the house, go outside, climb a tree and listen to the wind. I found solace in nature, even if it was only in my backyard.
